This also applies to customised grouped and transport packaging manufactured according to specific requirements, such as individual designs, logos or customer specifications.Companies responsible for this packaging must ensure compliance with applicable PPWR requirements, including sustainability criteria, recyclability, packaging volume minimisation, correct labelling and the availability of required documentation such as Technical Documentation and Declarations of Conformity.Standardised grouped and transport packagingFor standardised packaging solutions used within FIEGE’s logistics and fulfilment operations – such as shipping cartons, filling materials, films, and similar solutions -FIEGE takes responsibility within its area of control.This includes selecting suitable packaging solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements, maintaining relevant documentation and supporting transparent processes.

Transparency and collaboration are key

The transition to PPWR compliance requires continuous communication between supply chain partners. Changes relating to packaging design, materials, components, labelling, registrations, Technical Documentation or Declarations of Conformity should be communicated at an early stage.If potential compliance risks arise, early information exchange allows partners to assess the situation together, take appropriate corrective action and minimise impacts on supply chain operations.
